Raeyei’s VTuber Debut: From Bunnylandia With Love
On July 27th, Twitch streamer Raeyei (whom you may know from the Kitty Kraze music video) made her Vtuber debut as the bunny-eared Overlord Raeyei.
Overlord Raeyei’s Backstory (Welcome to Pooppystan)
Around 1,900 concurrent viewers attended Raeyei’s Vtuber debut, which began with a pre-recorded history lesson: Bunnylandia, a once prosperous region, was conquered by the Pooppy Nation and turned into Pooppystan.
Overlord Raeyei, master of the Bunnizens—or Pooppystanis, depending on who you ask—managed to drive back the Pooppys and now seeks to Make Bunnylandia Great Again.
The stream picked up right after Raeyei regained control of Pooppystan. She took the podium to explain her government plans while the chat devolved into a pandemonium of Poopper vs. Raeyei propaganda.
After describing a utopian collectivist system based on self-sufficiency and Karrot Koupons (food stamps), Raeyei emphatically stated that everyone was welcome in her new nation and that her followers were free to choose their jobs.
These lofty ideals were crushed immediately when Raeyei forcefully made everyone an “immigration officer” tasked with protecting the border.
Chat “Protects” Bunnylandia (Interactive Game)
The rules were simple: reject racists, sexists, weeb haters, backseat gamers, and stream snipers. Also, everyone who looks and smells like an undercover Poopper.
The new immigration officers were treated to a hilarious game (made by Raeyei herself) where they voted to accept or reject incoming travelers at the border.
It was essentially Twitch Plays Papers, Please.
As expected of the chat, they completely disregarded Raeyei’s recommendations. This resulted in accepting some pretty shady characters—all because they were hot Nikke girls.
Chaos ensued as a giant Pooppy monster destroyed the city. The chat had to fight off the beast alone while Raeyei prepared something off-screen.
It was another massive failure by the Bunnizens, but everyone had a blast nonetheless.
Raeyei’s Jingo Jungle Cover Saves the Day
After the Power of Friendship and Talk-no-Jutsu failed to stop the monster, everything seemed lost. At that moment, Overlord Raeyei finally swooped in to save the day.
Her weapons were a bunny grenade and a fantastic English cover of “Jingo Jungle,” the opening song for Saga of Tanya the Evil. It was a great way to showcase her beautiful voice and immense singing talent.
In the words of the chat, it was “peak.”
She then took some time to answer questions, discuss her new life as a Vtuber, and show off her gorgeous 2D model (designed and rigged by Baily Studios).
This last section introduced newcomers to her content, her likes and dislikes, and her dreams for the future.
What’s Next After Raeyei’s Vtuber Debut?
We can expect her to continue streaming competitive games like Dota 2, Valorant, and CounterStrike. Gacha games like Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero are also on the menu.
Additionally, she’ll be doing more variety streaming and anime-related content, as one might expect from a Vtuber. She hopes to continue producing music and developing her career as a voice actress.
Raeyei leverages a healthy audience of nearly 200,000 followers on Twitch and a long history of making content online to kickstart her Vtuber career.
This carrot-loving Overlord joins a growing pantheon of based bunny-eared personalities like Hololive’s Usada Pekora and Phase Connect’s Pipkin Pippa.
